Cheer Core Gold

CheerCore Athlete Code Of Conduct Agreement

Please take a moment to read the document below, then fill out the form in its entirety

The purpose of this code of conduct (from now on referred to as COC) is to establish a consistent expectation for athletes’ behavior both inside and outside the gym while they are a member of CheerCore. This COC applies while training inside our facilities and during all competitions (local or travel). By signing this COC, you agree to the following statements:

I will respect and show courtesy to my teammates, coaches, parents, fellow athletes and officials at events at all times

I will demonstrate good sportsmanship at all practices and competitions, including towards other athletes who are part of another program or club

I will set a good example of positive behavior and strong work ethic for my younger gym/teammates

I will be respectful of my teammates’ feelings and personal space

I will always, to the best of my ability, be a team player and put the needs of the team before my own

I will not exhibit any form of sexist, racist, homophobic, or otherwise inappropriate behavior.

I will attend all team meetings, training sessions, or any other activities that my coach deems necessary locally or during away competitions

If I’m part of a team that travels for certain competitions (Summit, World’s, UCA, NCA, etc.) I understand that these trips are to be treated as a competition first, which entails adhering to the schedule laid out by my coaches and adjusting to the needs of the team. I will use away trips only as a vacation after the competition comes to a conclusion.

If I must miss a practice due to illness, I will provide a note from a health care professional

If I must miss a practice due to other events (exams, trips etc.) I will ask my parent to email my coach and give them as much advance notice as possible. Ideally, as soon as I know about the said event that will conflict with my training schedule (Example: If you find out about a school event that conflicts with a practice night, please email us the very next day, not the day of the missed practice)

I will show respect for all facilities and other property used during practices, tournaments, and team activities.

I will refrain from using inappropriate language, violence, behavior deemed dishonest, offensive, or illegal both offline and online

I will always respect the final decision of my coaches, and understand that they only want what is best for the team

If I disagree with a teammate, parent or coach, I will set up a meeting and talk with my coach instead of approaching the individual directly

I will ask permission from CheerCore owners before posting anything related to my team on social media

I understand that if I violate this code of conduct, I will be subject to disciplinary action such as (but not limited to): removal from the program without refund, monetary fines, suspensions, apology letters etc.
